Kate Park Joins Barnard, Vogler & Co.

Kate A. Park, CPA, has joined Barnard, Vogler &Co. in Reno as a Tax Manager.

Her experience includes providing tax services for individuals, fiduciaries and businesses in various industries, with an emphasis on estate and small business tax return preparation and planning.  She has also provided services in auditing, reviewing and compiling financial statements. 

Kate received her Bachelors’ degree in Public Accounting from Mesa State College, and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Tarbet Earns CPA, Promoted

Dawn Tarbet has recently earned her CPA certification and has been promoted to the position of Senior Accountant with Barnard, Vogler & Co., Certified Public Accountants in Reno, Nevada.  Tarbet, who has been with the firm since 2008, holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada.

Hammond Promoted

Teela Hammond, CPA, has been promoted to the position of Manager.  She most recently held the position of Senior Accountant within the firm.  Hammond, who has been with Barnard, Vogler & Co. since 2005, holds a Masters degree in Accountancy from the University of Nevada.

Thompson Joins Barnard Vogler & Co. as Director of Business Consulting and Litigation Support

David J. Thompson has joined the firm as Director of Business Consulting and Litigation Support.  For fifteen years, Thompson was CEO of Mikohn Gaming Company.  Thompson acquired Mikohn in 1987 when it was a small Las Vegas based supplier of electronics.  He built it into a diversified, public company with a global manufacturing network.

Prior to this, Thompson practiced as a Certified Public Accountant serving a wide variety of clients with accounting and tax services.  He was also a panel trustee under the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee System, and participated in many reorganizations and work-outs.

Hammond Earns CPA License

Teela J. Hammond has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Nevada.  Hammond, a Senior Accountant, has been with the firm since 2005 and holds a Masters Degree in Accountancy from the University of Nevada.
