J. Richard Barnard, CPA
Director of Management Advisory Services
Dick founded Barnard, Vogler & Co. in 1969. He has over 35 years of accounting, auditing, consulting and income taxation experience with clients of all sizes in both industry and government.Dick has specific industry and service experience in the following areas of practice: real estate development and construction, manufacturing, litigation support, purchase and sale of businesses, business valuation and general business consulting.
Leslie C. Daane, CPA
Managing Director, Director of Tax Services
Leslie joined Barnard, Vogler & Co. in February of 1990. She has experience in auditing, accounting and tax services for a wide variety of clients. In January 1998, Leslie was admitted as a shareholder and promoted to Director of Taxation. She took on the role of Managing Director in January 2001.Leslie currently concentrates in the areas of income and estate taxation, dealing with both compliance and planning. She provides technical research and consulting assistance on a wide range of tax and management issues.
Michael E. Davis, CPA
Director of Accounting and Audit
Mike joined Barnard, Vogler & Co. in December 1986 after a three-year tenure with a national public accounting firm. Over the years Mike has focused most of his time in the audit and accounting area of the firm's practice. Mike was admitted as a shareholder and promoted to Director of Accounting and Audit in January 1998.Mike's expertise includes the areas of audit and accounting as well as the preparation of tax filings for individuals, corporations and partnerships.
Patricia P. Davis, CPA
Director of Administration
Pat has been with Barnard, Vogler & Co. since 1973. She serves as Director of Administration and Supervisor of the Client Accounting Department.Under Pat's supervision, the firm provides monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, business and tax consulting, tax return preparation for franchisees, health care professionals, retail stores and many other small business clients. Her other areas of expertise include individual income tax preparation, retirement plan accounting, and payroll taxes.
Janis M. Reams, CPA
Director of Nonprofit Services
Janis joined Barnard, Vogler & Co. in February of 1990, upon leaving a national CPA firm after working there for three years. Both firms provided her experience in auditing, accounting and tax services of private, governmental and non-profit entities. She was promoted to Director of Governmental and Nonprofit Services in January 2001.Janis currently concentrates in the area of governmental and nonprofit accounting, auditing and consulting. She also prepares tax filings for individuals, partnerships, corporations and nonprofit organizations and assists with on-site and off-site peer reviews of other public accounting firms.
Richard M Teichner, CPA/ABV, CVA, CDFATM
Director of Litigation Support and Business Valuations
Richard, who joined the firm in October of 2003, is a CPA/ABV, CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and CDFATM (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) whose practice includes litigation support and business valuation services. With over 35 years experience in public accounting, Richard has a background in tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, and consulting on numerous business matters, including those involving the purchases, sales, planning and development of business enterprises.
KAM L. CHAN, CPA
Director of Tax Administration
Kam joined Barnard, Vogler & Co. in 1979. She has over twenty-five years experience providing tax and accounting services to both individuals and businesses. Kam was promoted to Director of Tax Administration in January 2007.
Kam oversees preparation of tax returns for individual clients as well as the year-end closing of books and tax preparation for many businesses. She also manages monthly bookkeeping and payroll reporting for several clients, and is experienced with several accounting software programs and provides consulting and training services to client personnel.
